- Wensleydale Traction Group have confirmed that January 4th 2009 is CONFIRMED as a running day for both 47715 and 47703. Departures are 1005, 1205, and 1450 ex Leeming Bar and the returns are 1105, 1305 and 1550 from Redmire.
Booked to work the first and last return trips from Leeming Bar is 47715 with 47703 working the 1205 return trip. If 715 refuses to power up the ETH then the 14.50 service may be top and tail. Consist likely to be Mk2a BSO+TSO+TSO+TSO, some stock is in grey primer thanks to graffiti "artists". Fares are standard WR fares with no HRA passes accepted. £12 Adult day rover, £10.80 one return trip and kids and seniors at the normal discounted rate. - 47580 is moving on towards the Mid Norfolk Railway where it will participate in the Santa specials and the Mince Pie specials at it's new temporary home at Dereham. The Santa specials start from Sunday 14th December which it will work in top and tail mode with 31438.

- The Wensleydale Traction Group are hoping to be able to hold a Type 4 running day on Sunday 4th January 2009 - 47715 will be in operation and it is hoped that 47703 can be resurrected once more to take part providing HNRC agree.
It would be a three return trip diagram on this lengthy route with 703 doing two runs and 715 doing one or if 703 is unavailable 715 will run the full diagram.
